Givenchy Démesure Mascara & Autumn Winter Press Launch.
Nicolas Degennes, Artistic Director of Givenchy Le Makeup has created the Autumn Winter Collection inspired by the moon. The Moon’s luminous glow, its dream like aura is bought to life in the Je Veux La Lune collection. The collection encapsulates the concept and feelings of the moon and has a dream like story that translates through his collection. The idea of dreaming, having your head in the stars, the feeling of desire, the freedom to dream and dare to want the impossible. If you want the moon, you should have the moon, and you can.
Nicolas Degennes expressed the Givenchy philosophy is about women and freedom, that make-up should give women what they really want from their makeup. Your makeup should serve you and deliver your command and be a woman’s ultimate ally and deliver results you want, when you want it. – I totally agree!!
It seems Givenchy are communicating a philosophy and a passion in their make-up, as Nicholas Degennes said is the passion to make women beautiful. And this is nice to see something different, a brand with substance and personality, and this is what Nicholas Degennes brings.
“Make up is a game”
“Make-up is a serious thing, its me, its my time.”
Nicolas Degennes
A passionate speech by the Artistic Director, Nicolas Degennes and afterwards make-up stations to sample the new products, with make-up artists on hand to demonstrate the products.
I found the Le Ombre De Lune particularly amazing, an eyeshadow and highlighter compact.
Demesure Mascara Review.
I was impressed with this mascara – the brush, the consistency. I have never seen my eyelashes this long before. What is intelligent about this mascara is it distributes the product evenly as you apply it. It evenly loads your lashes with the product then the pop up comb defines lashes when it distributes the product evenly to the tip - so you don’t get that clumpy or heavy build up at the tips of your lashes. I used an eye lash curler before putting this on and noticed that this product made my curl stay, having Asian lashes that are pointy and straight my lashes never stay curly, after curling my lashes then adding mascara the product just brings them back down again, but the Demesure kept the curl.
The feel of this mascara is so lightweight and my lashes don’t feel heavy. My absolute new favourite.
Application: it’s a different application to what I’ve seen before so take a look
1. Take first brush and start at the very lash line, move in zig zag motion to coat the roots of the lashes
2. Glide the brush up to the tip of the lashes
3. Turn the top of the mascara to reveal the hidden brush
4. Brush through lashes to separate and even out
5. Use the tip of the mini second brush to separate lashes by poking upwards through the lash line.
Truly amazing.
Due to hit stores 11th July.
xx
